*The 1991 Hyundai Sonata Beater Project*

Post  muuurph on Wed Nov 26, 2008 1:31 am

Alright, trying to get the 200$ junk on the road, well i have over 400$ into it now, since america needs so much money haha, registration was 85, liquids and filters were 30$, tires were 50$, exhaust was 20$, plus welding supplies, ill go back to that in a second, and wipers.

Anyhow, today i brought it to a garage my friends dad works at with my mig, and wecontructed a rigged up exhaust, using 3 exhausts off of other cars, like 5 foot long sections, well half of it was 2" and other was 2 1/4 and some 2 1/2. anyways, it took 4 DAMN HOURS, my friends first time using a mig, i didnt even try it cause after 2 hours i noticed this project hadnt gotten far, so using half used pipe, we made some holes, fixed them, when we were like done a welder came and and patched it all up and we got it on...

so it shoulds pass inspection now, im gonna run 205s on the back and 185 on front haha, cuase thats all i have right now...which sucks. but anyway, any work getting done on this car im doing haha...so it should be a good time, we drove it today and its a pretty quick little bugger, i believe its 150hp stock, idk how much tq, but its a 2.4l automatic, glad it is so i dont break it haha.

i wish i wouldve taken pics, woulda been good to show haha. lotta thinkin went there, the exhuast is stupid it goes every which way.
